High speed up to 21 ppm
provides you with professional, high quality printing and performance. It also
offers true 1200 dpi for exceptional quality print output for photographic
documents, at up to 10 ppm. The two paper input trays (150 sheet, Multi Purpose
(MP) tray, and
500 sheet Letter/ Legal Tray) provide excellent paper handling.
A second optional tray adds another 500 sheets to the paper capacity. High
speed duplex printing at up to 18ppm is possible, with the optional DX-2000.
Sorter / Stacker / Mailbox options allow even more Mini - Mopier, high volume,
shared printing operations to be carried out.
The unique job Reprint
function allows you to use the printer like a copier, by giving you the ability
to process and print the original document. By just pressing one
button on the
printer, you are able to produce multiple original, high quality original, with
the same speed and ease as a copier. This produces fast Multiple Original
Prints (MOPYing) instead of time consuming, inferior quality, photocopies.
A true 21ppm printer,
utilising a Fujitsu SPARClite high speed controller (100 MHz), allows for fast
output from the Brother HL-2060. Brother's own Data Compression Technology
minimises
RAM consumption and return the user faster to their application. The
8MB standard memory can easily be expanded up to 72MB (SIMM) and the optional
PCMCIA flash memory and HDD cards may be used to save macros, forms, fonts and
print data.
Almost every application
is automatically handled for by the printer, not only with the most
popular
emulation - PCL6, but also with IBM and Epson emulations and PostScript level 2
language emulation. Auto emulation mode allows the printer to automatically
switch emulation depending on the data type it receives.
Economy mode
cuts your toner consumption by 25% or 50% and the intelligent sleep mode
cuts
power consumption to less than 25 watts. The printer driver's `2 in 1 ' and `4
in 1 ' Windows printing modes cut paper consumption even further. The high
capacity TN-9000 toner cartridge, 9,000 Letter pages @ 5% coverage, ensures
that you maintain effective cost control.
When the optional Ethernet network card(NC-2010h)
is installed, the printer becomes Web browser capable (HTTP) and supports SNMP
(MIB ll). It supports IPX/SPX (Bindery and NDS), TCP/IP (LPR/LPD, Port 9100),
TELENET, DHCP, BOOTP, RARP, as well as user definable ports and the NC-2010h
also supports Apple Talk. Its BRAdmin32 utility can be used on Novell Networks,
using the IPX/SPX protocol or networks using the TCP/IP protocol. The NIC is
also HP JetAdmin and Web JetAdmin compatible.
