Multi-Platform Capability

The Brother HL-1250 printer comes with USB and parallel ports standard built-in so it is compatible with Windows platforms as well as your iMac ^TM , iBook ^TM or new G3/G4 Macintosh. The printer drivers are included in the box and there is no need for parallel- to-USB cables since both are provided right on-board.

Quick Print Setup

The Quick Print Setup is a convenient utility to allow you to make changes to frequently used driver settings easily without having to open the printer properties selection box every time. It is launched automatically when this printer driver selected. You can change the displayed settings by clicking on the icon with the right mouse button. This utility is for Windows®95/98/NT4.0 only.

You can select the indication, toolbar or icon type.

Interactive Help

Brother's unique Interactive Help system is your personal on-line support system available to you 24hours a day, 7days a week, 365 days a year.

Animated Shockwave movies appear on your desktop, demonstrating to you how to perform basic operations such as replacing toner cartridges, clearing mis-feeds etc. This feature only works on Windows 95/98 clients through the parallel interface when the driver is installed using the SETUP.EXE program from the CD-ROM supplied with the printer. If a disk set has been created from the CD-ROM, the interactive help files will also be copied to the disk set.

Multi-page Print Mode

N in 1

You can print 2 (or 4, 9, 16, 25) pages of your document on a single sheet of paper. You can save paper when you print many pages and make an index page to use with the "25 in 1" function.

1 in NxN pages (Poster Printing)

You can print one page of your document on 2(or 3, 4, 5)-fold sheets. You can make a poster size print easily.

Watermark function

You can put a watermarked logo or text into your document. When you use a bitmap file watermark, you can change scale and put it anywhere you like. When you use a text file watermark, you can select the font, adjust the darkness and change the angle.
