Robert James Hough, 70 of Charlotte died Thursday, January 22nd at Presbyterian Hospital.

Born February 10, 1938 to the late James Walter Hough and Helen Marks Hough, Robert had been a lifelong Charlotte resident.

Besides his parents, Mr Hough was preceded in death by his son Martin.

Survivors include his wife Nora, of the home; daughter, Tonya Kalinoski and husband Billy of Concord; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Wilson Kalinoski, Michael, Noah and Zachary Hough; daughter in law, Jennifer Hough of Charlotte; sister, Patricia Rebol and husband Jim of Charlotte; niece, Angela Rebol; nephew, Tony Rebol and wife Jodi.

He was a US Army veteran and had been employed by Carolina Trailways before retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of Johnston Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon, elder and board member. Mr. Hough was a family man as well as an avid golfer and bowler.

Visitation and service will take place on Monday, January 26th at Johnston Memorial Presbyterian Church, 729 East 36th St, Charlotte. Interment will take place at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.

The family has asked that memorials be made to Johnston Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nursing staff that cared for Mr. Hough.
