Additional information:
According to Harold Broughton's book, The Tysors of Old Chatham Broughton, Harold; The Tysors of Old Chatham, © 1972, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number 72-85356, he was a farmer and raised a large family, many of whom were well educated. He bought his home in Carthage, dismantled it, moved it by wagon to his home site, approximately one mile toward Goldston from May's Chapel Baptist Church. His grandson, Allen McIver, was residing in that home in 1972.
