Additional Information:

Rev. Willis Hoyle Hough (born Chatham Co, NC, buried Oakwood Cem, Siler City, NC) married Lillie Dora Burke (born Chatham Co, NC, buried Oakwood Cem, Siler City, NC), and they had five children.

Hoyle and Lillie started their family in Siler City, NC where Hoyle worked for Boling Chair Co. Later, he became a barber and worked at the Overseas Replacement Depot (ORD) in Greensboro, NC during the early part of WWII. Even though he had 4 children, he was drafted into the Navy where he was trained as an electrician and assigned to a sea-going tug in the Pacific. After returning from service, in 1949 Hoyle entered the ministry in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He pastored churches in Raleigh NC, Reidsville NC, Marion NC, Franklinville NC, Patrick Springs VA, Kernersville NC, Concord NC, and Greensboro NC before retiring in 1969. He then continued worked as a barber for another 17 years in Greensboro, NC.

Hoyle was survived by three brothers (Laban, Max, Lester), four children, 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Hoyle (and later his brother Lester) died due to the complications of Parkinson's disease.
