Annie Margie Burke Clark, age 91, of 509 West Fifth Street, Siler City died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation of Siler City, Siler City. Mrs. Clark was born October 23, 1917 the daughter of Sam Rosser and Mattie (Covet)Burke.

Mrs. Clark was a native of Chatham County and retired from Hadley Peoples Manufacturing. She was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church. Margie was preceded in death by husbands, Phillip Lee Bacon and James R. Clark; two brothers, Jehugh Burke and C. R. Burke; and five sisters, Lillie Hough, Lucille Branson, Mary Lee Campbell, Elizabeth Leavy and Alma Rives.

She is survived by one sister: Emma Moore of Siler City, NC and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 14, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Brookdale Baptist Church,1133 West Third Street, Siler City with Rev. Christopher St. Jean officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park.
