Mrs. Jennie Brooks

SILER CITY --  Mrs. Jennie Brooks died at her home on Bear Creek, Rt. 2, Feb. 29 at the age of 53 years. She was confined to her bed for one week with pneumonia.

She is survived by her husmand, Mr. Lonnie Brooks and one son, Ernest, and three grandchildren. Also one sister, Mrs. N. S. Woody, of Pittsboro, and three brothers, Walter Johnson of Morrisville, Foy Johnson of Pittsboro, and Henry Johnson of Moncure.

The funeral was conducted by her pastor at Meronies Methodist Church. Her nephews were the pall bearers and her nieces the flower girls. There was a host friends present and many beautiful floral tributes.

Mrs. Brooks was a true and faithful wife and a kind and loving mothes. Much sympathy goes out to the bereaved family.
